We
prefer to accept PDF files for all print orders, however
we can work with
different file formats with the following specifications.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions
regarding preparing your print files.
PDF Format
We only accept high quality PDF files. Make sure it's been saved as a "Press
Quality" PDF files. .
Adobe Illustrator
Make sure crop marks are selected with a bleed of at least 1/8" or 0.125".
Create
outline for all the fonts (convert fonts to curves). Also ensure all pantone
colours are converted to process. Save file as a "Press Quality" PDF,
AI or EPS.
Adobe Photoshop
Photoshop files must be flattened and
saved as either PDF, TIF or PSD document. Please make
sure
that
your
document is in CMYK colour format and at a resolution
of at least
300 dpi. Adobe Indesign
Use the file export feature to export your file to a "Press
Quality" PDF. Make sure only crop marks are selected
with a bleed of at least 1/8" or 0.125". Also
ensure all pantone colours are converted to process.
QuarkXpress
Include all fonts & supporting images. Supporting images
should be in CMYK colour format. Images should be at a
resolution of 300dpi. Convert files to PDF.
CorelDraw
Publish to PDF using "Press Quality" settings.
Make sure crop marks are selected with a bleed of at least
1/8" or 0.125". Also ensure all pantone colours
are converted to process.

Before submitting your digital files, please review the
following specifications.
Bleed
A bleed is an extension of your background color or image
going beyond the intended trim size of your piece.
Please make sure your artwork has at least 1/8 inch
(3 mm) of
bleed. This
ensures that the color or image continues to the edge
of your
piece.
Please
build
your
press-ready
digital files by adding 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch all
around dimension for all products.
Border
Ensure
all your critical type is at least 1/8 inch or 0.125 inch
inward from the crop area (type safety). This will ensure
that
the
finished product
will not have
type cut off and will be evenly spaced.
Colours
All colours in your document must be CMYK if you use spot
colours in your design please convert them to cmyk before
saving, duotone images must also be converted to cmyk.
Exact colour match not guaranteed. If your job requires
pantone color (ie: 4 + 1 or 4 + 2 jobs), save the document
in CMYK plus the spot colour(s).
Fonts
All fonts must be outlined (convert to curve) or embedded, otherwise all fonts
used must be supplied. Both printer and screen fonts must be included. Postscript
fonts yield industry standard results.
PDF - all fonts should be embedded in PDF files
EPS - all fonts should be converted to paths or curves
in EPS files
PSD - all layer must be flatten
Image Quality
Photos or scans should always be saved as CMYK. All scanned images should be
of a professional standard. Images need to be saved at an appropriate
resolution of 300 dpi or above for continuous tone reproduction (photos and/or
illustrations).
